'The Journal', the major regional daily newspaper in North East England, commissioned Art for Conferences to produce trophies for the winners of their inaugural 'Culture Awards 2006' event, recognising outstanding achievement in arts and culture.
Sculptor William Pym's specially designed and highly original 'laurel wreaths' were crafted from forged steel, featuring laser cut leaves and images of North East cultural icons, and finished in highly polished silver chrome and gold leaf.
The trophies were totally unique, and went down amazingly! All of the winners were really pleased with them.
