Creative Partnerships Durham Sunderland
This national conference, 'Creative Enquiries', brought together academics and others to explore research into the nature and impact of the arts and creative learning on children and young people.
Art for Conferences commissioned artist/poet Alec Finlay to produce a memento to enhance delegates' experience of the event. He created a 'thought cloud in a tea cup', an outline design of a cloud in a simple white china cup. Delegates were also encouraged to contribute to an anthology of thoughts, which Finlay will publish.

The tea cup was quirky, different and prompted many questions from delegates. It also stimulated communication from people meeting for the first time.
